Truvani Supplements Review
Here’s What You Should Know

Truvani’s website does a great job of encapsulating their product range and their ethos:

“We believe in real food without added chemicals. Products without toxins. Labels without lies.”

It’s fair to say this is the kind of language I want my food and supplement suppliers to speak. But, as with most brands in this industry, I can’t help but wonder if Truvani can back up these claims with their actions.

In this review, I’m going to take a look at three of their most popular products to get an overall understanding of what Truvani is about.

Do they offer more than just clever marketing rhetoric? After all, it’s easy to be lured in by an Instagram influencer like Food Babe – the founder of Truvani.

1. Truvani Certified Organic Plant-Based Protein Powder

Truvani Chocolate Flavored Protein

The first product I’m going to review is this their flagship vegan protein supplement. As can be expected, Vani Hari (AKA Food Babe) – the brand’s owner and primary spokesperson – really lays it on thick when discussing this product.

True to her brand’s primary message, she focuses on the simplicity of its ingredients. The healthy vegan protein sources are diverse and all 100% organic: Pea protein, pumpkin seed protein, and chia seeds).

The balance of the powder’s ingredients is also 100% GMO-free and organic: alkalized cocoa, vanilla powder, Luo Han Guo.

“Truvani supplements claim only to contain real foods. Using complete ingredient transparency, the brand claims to provide the highest quality formulas.” – Summer Banks, writer dietspotlight.com

Let’s take a quick detour and look at the last one there. Luo Han Guo (also known as Siraitia grosvenorii, or Monk Fruit) is a plant used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat numerous ailments.

Limited scientific data exists on its health benefits for humans [1]. But if you’re inclined to put stock in anecdotal evidence spanning several millennia, this is a comforting ingredient to have in your protein powder.

I thought it tasted fine, and it delivered what I was expecting from a protein product. For many who take health seriously, supplements shouldn’t be packed with unnecessary flavoring agents that the food industry is so fond of using. This is not the case with this product.

Here’s what other customer reviews are saying:

“I can’t have dairy and whey, and I’m also so picky about taste, so I gave up looking for protein powder. You guys totally nailed it!!” – LISA

2. Truvani Glorious Gut Plant-Based Probiotic

Truvani Glorious Gut

On to one of Truvani’s most requested products – their immensely popular organic probiotic supplement. On their website, Vani Hari does a good job of explaining the importance of how naturally occurring bacteria play in our digestive health.

If you’re unfamiliar with this concept, I highly recommend you check out what Food Babe says about this. It’s super informative without going for that annoying hard-sell that so many websites try.

That’s not to say that this product is devoid of very feasible promises as to how it will improve your health. As far as supplements go, few offer as wide a range of benefits as a probiotic.

Truvani promises an extensive range of support from their probiotics. When cross-referencing these against easily accessible scientific proof, I found that the majority of them were substantiated [2] [3].

As with all Truvani products, Glorious Gut is 100% plant-based, organic, gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free.

Here’s a customer review from the Truvani website:

“I love only taking one pill per day. My gut is much more balanced using Glorious Gut compared to the over the counter Probiotics. I was taking between 4-7 per day depending on my gut.”

3. Truvani Immune Support

Truvani Immune Support

Dietary supplements offering immune support are easy to find. But not many of them can boast of being entirely composed of natural food ingredients.

As with every Truvani product, their Immune Support supplement claims to contain only clean organic ingredients.

In this case, eight different berries, herbs, and roots – each with its own immune-boosting properties.

If overall health is one of your primary concerns, taking an immune booster is a no-brainer.

However, is there scientific proof behind Amla Berry, Astragalus Root, Elderberry, Ginger Root, Echinacea, Garlic, Licorice Root, and Oregano’s positive impact on a person’s health and immune system?

As with many all-organic companies’ products, anecdotal evidence abounds along with little scientific proof. At the very least, I can say that I found literally no evidence that any of these ingredients compromise a person’s health.

After taking this Truvani supplement for two weeks, I can also say that I genuinely felt pretty good, and pretty healthy.

Placebo effect? I couldn’t know. But, I’m an optimist at heart and sincerely believe that these fantastic organic products played a role.

Here’s what another Truvani Customer had to say:

“Great product! I love a product that actually supports my immune system. I also found that this product is very soothing for my stomach as I suffer from IBS after being diagnosed with UC about four years ago. Thank you!”

Where to Buy Their Products

The Truvani company website offers its entire range at pretty reasonable prices. Each product has a fantastic amount of information that gives you a transparent background on why a particular ingredient is best at what it does.

The company also has an Amazon store where you can shop for all their products.

Should You Buy Truvani Supplements?

So, after sampling and researching four of their most popular products, what’s my general impression of this supplement company created by nutrition influencer Vani Hari?

Firstly, I love their site because Truvani isn’t shy to give real information – not just sales pitches. This makes me instantly feel comfortable with their reputation.

As usual, though, make sure you test claims against real scientific evidence. Even the most ethical supplement companies can fall prey to overstating benefits and not providing real scientific information to back it up.

Vani Hari has had a real impact on the food industry, even causing multinational producers to rethink some of their ingredients as a result of her influence.

At the same time, it must be said that Food Babe has had her fair share of critics from the scientific community, and it’s hard to divorce this from my opinion of her supplements.

Taking the abstract out of my opinion, I have today that I was more than impressed with the quality of the Truvani products I tested.

None of them offered me results that totally blew their top-tier competitors out of the water, but I loved the brand’s overall message and commitment to natural ingredients.

As always, before taking any supplement, make sure your body is ready for it. Speak to a nutritionist or doctor before switching to a new product or trying something for the first time. Regardless of how natural the ingredients are, people with specific dietary needs require trained professionals’ support.

Final word: I have faith in this company. Their products are ethically sourced, made from the best possible range of ingredients, and I’ve genuinely felt fantastic while testing these three products. I wholeheartedly endorse Truvani.
