Wrinkles, a sign that you have lived, laughed, and loved, are not as welcome as the lifestyle they give. Everyone must deal with wrinkles at some time, as they give off the appearance that we are older than we look. While it is important to love yourself and your body, some wrinkles can be prevented or slowed down in an otherwise courageous attempt to slow the passage of time. While there are certainly many products that help with keeping your skin firm and fit, there are a surprising number of ways to reduce or prevent certain wrinkles.

In this article, we'll take a look at some common places where people have wrinkles that may be noticeable in social settings, and the best ways to prevent or reverse this process.

How To Get Rid Of Arm Wrinkles

Since we use our arms in most of our daily tasks, it is important to limit our exposure to certain things that can produce or further affect our arm wrinkles. For example, the largest contribution to impurities, blemishes, spots, and wrinkles is exposure to harmful UV rays. We often neglect taking care of our arms during a regular skin-care routine as the skin on our arms is very thick due to its constant use and friction, as well as its role to protect us from the cold (via goosebumps).

The natural way to reduce wrinkles on your arm is by remembering to apply sunscreen even when you aren't tanning at the beach. Wear long-sleeved shirts to reduce exposure, and remember to give your arms as much attention as you do to your face when applying moisturizer.

How To Get Rid Of Chin Wrinkles

Chin wrinkles are extremely common, as we often rest our faces on flat surfaces and use these muscles when frowning, pondering, and other expressions of emotion. As with the reduction of all other wrinkles, the most important thing is to limit the loss of your body's natural oils in this area.  Similar to frown lines, the application of a face mask is highly recommended, as it can restore and rejuvenate the dryness of the skin at the chin level.

Furthermore, egg whites have shown to be extremely effective for sensitive areas (such as the face) in hydrating and restoring the proteins that may be lost from your face. Simply whip up some egg whites into a wash and spread over the chin. Massage into your face and let sit for 15 minutes.

How To Get Rid Of Frown Lines

Preventing or reversing frown lines is extremely similar to those of the chin, as mentioned above. As the name implies, frown lines are naturally more pronounced in those that frown frequently. While finding more reasons to smile may be a great way to improve both your mood and frown lines, a natural remedy would be to restore the oil and moisture to your face via a face mask, coconut oil, egg whites, and exfoliating a few times a week.

You can further aid this process by wearing sunscreen or SPF cosmetics and creams more frequently, as well as consuming larger amounts of water throughout the day.

How To Get Rid Of Knee Wrinkles

The knees are another culprit of "tough skin" as they are extremely useful to us in our everyday life for constant motion and daily tasks. Furthermore, our knees are usually covered by tight clothing in most of the cold months, creating a heavy friction environment that is conducive to heavy wrinkles. Fortunately, sunscreen and UV rays aren't as much of a problem here as knees typically do not get as much sun exposure as more sensitive areas.woman's knees

Pumice stones, which are great for heels, work for other joints as well as smoothing out your skin such as elbows and kneesYou can also further revitalize the skin through exfoliation, coconut oil, increased water intake, natural moisturizer, and a diet rich in healthy fats - such as avocados and nuts.

How To Lose Neck Fat Lines

Neck fat lines are usually more dreaded than most other wrinkles as they give the sensation of making us look older and heavier than we are. While all the aforementioned remedies work, such as coconut oil, exfoliation, hydration, diet, and limiting exposure - fat lines can also be reduced or reversed through certain facial exercises and a regular workout routine. Below are two great exercises that can help reduce neck wrinkles:

Chin lifts: Chin lifts focus on the jaw, neck, and throat, and in addition to tightening neck wrinkles, can also increase the strength of your jawline.  Start by standing straight in a dimly lit room. Keep your neck straight and tilt your head towards the ceiling, with your eyes focused on the tallest point in the room. Hold for 10 seconds, and lower your head. 2-3 sets of 5 reps.

Lip Pulls: Works great for the lips, neck, and cheekbones. This can be done by sitting or standing. Start by lifting your lower lip, then subsequently extending the lower jaw out until it is uncomfortable. Hold for 10 seconds and relax. 2-3 sets of 10 reps.

At what age do wrinkles start to appear?

Wrinkles can start to appear as early as 25 years of age. You will notice fine lines appearing across the surface of the skin, with a loss of volume, elasticity, and smoothness over time. This will get more noticeable as you age.

Can wrinkles go away?

Yes. Wrinkles can be reversed and smoothed out. However, they can never be fully eliminated. Once your body has stretched out its skin, it is impossible to naturally return it to its original elasticity.

What is the main reason for wrinkles?

In a short response, age. The skin ages and loses elastic properties in the dermis through the drying out of natural oils. Further, fat within the deeper dermal layers will diminish, giving your skin the appearance of gray and cracked lines. Moisturizing and certain creams help to slow down the loss of these beneficial oils.
