As men age, their testosterone levels naturally drop. This can leave you feeling less virile, less potent, and lacking a better word, less manly.
Turning to a natural or herbal t-booster can help to combat the effects of dropping testosterone levels. A lot of men are searching for something that will give them back the energy of their youth.
But does it work? Read on and find out more.
Aphro-D is a herbal t- booster that claims it can help raise falling testosterone levels. It is a raw powder made from 4 natural ingredients combined in a proprietary blend.
While it won’t tell you exactly what amounts of the ingredients the blend contains, it does tell you what is in it.
The blend is made up of Tongkat Ali, Schisandra Berry, He Shou Wu, and Pearl Powder.
Except for Tongkat Ali, you probably don’t recognize these other ingredients. Let’s take a closer look at them and find out if they’re miracle makers or snake oil.
The t-booster powder is the brainchild of Dr. Farhan Khawaja, MD, also referred to as Doc Testosterone, which would be a cool name if I wasn’t sure he’d given it to himself.
He has a degree in neuroscience from McGill University and claims to be a fierce advocate for male mental health and fitness.
“Exercise and going to the gym and running in the park is not just about losing weight, it can also help with people’s well-being. Regular fitness can be a very highly effective way of dealing with stress, anxiety, and depression.”
– Dr. Farhan Kawaja, MD
If you do a bit of a deep dive through his social media accounts, you’ll likely conclude that he’s a bit of a douchebag, but his medical credentials are not in question.
Other great plant testosterone boosters:
They claim that this all-natural powder is made by nature and backed by science. Well, let’s put the science to the test and look at what goes into this powder.
This ingredient is the obvious first choice and does have a significant amount of research and studies into its effect. It is included due to its observed ability to increase free and total testosterone in the male body and, in turn, a notable increase in sexual performance [1].
This ingredient is used to up the nitrous oxide saturation in your blood and increase blood flow to your body, particularly the manliest areas, if you catch their drift. The compound Gomisin A which is found in the berries, has been shown to promote healthy penile contractility in animal studies [2].
This is claimed to be the base ingredient, which would imply that it is what you get in the highest amounts. There is a lot of research into its effectiveness as a powerful antioxidant and its anti-inflammatory properties, but nothing directly concerning testosterone [3].
An ingredient that is equal parts stress relief and multivitamin. It is included to promote good sleep, which is essential to testosterone production and mental health aid, in general, said to lower stress levels [4].
It is rich in calcium, magnesium and has an excellent amino acid profile. This would be a great selling point, especially for ones looking for more calcium, if we knew how much we were getting in a daily dose.
If you watch, read, and listen to the many reviews left on the product, you’ll quickly see that users are encouraged to “raw dog” the powder, which involves taking a spoonful and just pasting it up in your mouth.
I don’t see the benefit but tried it both ways to be sure.
It’s far from a tasty treat, mixed in with tea, water, or coffee, but it is easily glugged down. It has a bitter quality that takes getting used to.
The gritty sensation left in your teeth and mouth from taking the powder raw takes a while to go away, and even after downing glass after glass of water, it was still there for me.
Aphro-D is an all-natural t-booster with no known problematic ingredients. There should be no risk of taking it but consult with a medical professional if you develop any strange side effects.
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.
How much Aphro-D should I take?
The recommended dose is one teaspoon daily, which usually means each pack is roughly a one month supply.
When is the best time to take Aphro-D?
It is recommended to take the powder first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. This gives the ingredients the best absorption rate.
Can I stack Aphro-D with other supplements?
The Aphro-D t-booster is made from all-natural ingredients with direct effect. Unless your other supplements contain Tongkat Ali and might put you over the recommended daily dose, I don’t see why you couldn’t stack it.
There is a lot about Aphro-D that I like and a lot that I don’t. I appreciate the products focusing on natural ingredients and even the weird insistence on taking them as raw as possible and not even mixing it in liquid.
The powder looks and tastes as natural as possible and hasn’t been messed with. That said, the fact that it hides behind a proprietary blend irks me, as I like to know exactly how much and in what proportions I’m taking.
The ingredient list claims to provide a significant effect and this is backed up with a community that raves about it.
